Although many people think of snow as being white, actually it is frozen water crystals such as this single snowflake shown here, which has been magnified under a microscope. Snowflakes start as a single dust particle which has become suspended in a cloud. The crystal begins to grow as more and more water vapor freezes to it's outer edges. Suspended by winds each individual crystal takes on it's own unique shape, size, and structure. No two snowflakes are alike. Each individual snowflake is formed by the physics of the atmosphere surrounding it. Eventually, the snowflake becomes heavy enough to drift to the earth.
The tiny snowflake reminds me of people in many respects. God created each one of us with a unique beauty all our own, and as we walk through life we are crafted by our own individual experiences.
Billions of snowflakes fall to the ground out of a single storm, most of them never to be seen by anyone but God. The beautiful snowflake gives glory to God just by being. As people, we have been uniquely created with the ability to give glory to God not only by our being, but, by our doing.
Thank You for making me so wonderfully complex! Your workmanship is marveloushow well I know it.
You watched me as I was being formed in utter seclusion, as I was woven together in the dark of the womb.
You saw me before I was born. Every day of my life was recorded in Your book. Every moment was laid out before a single day had passed.
How precious are Your thoughts about me, O God. They cannot be numbered! Psalm 139:14
